Designed with outdoor pursuits in mind, the Motorola Active for T-Mobile has a rubberized exterior that helps protect it from the elements.

The Active includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, an mp3 player, expandable memory (up to 2GB), and comes with the Mayo Clinic In-Touch software with first aid tips and symptom checker.

There are two major, authorized, online cell phone retailers, LetsTalk and WireFly. Both are reputable and safe to order your new phone through.

Both of these stores offer much better deals than you would find at the carrier's own websites and stores. The savings will be in the up front costs, as the monthly price of the cell phone plan will be the same no matter where you purchase it from.

Sometimes these deals will require the addition of a data plan subscription, which many people would get anyway. If you don't need the data plan, you can discontinue it after six months and you will still come out ahead on the overall price.
